Holograms are mostly seen in trading cards, but also in comic covers. 3 D were very popular in 1950s, when movies and comics tried to be more realistic. In comics Golden Age and Silver Age published many comic books and magazines dedicated to 3 D. Reading of those you need 3 D glasses. Nowadays better technics has reborn 3 D animation, and same trend is seen in comic books. Holograms and 3 D is very popular specially in pin-up's and erotic comics and covers.
DC Comics has published hologram trading cards, including Hawkman, Darkseid, Wonder Woman, Deathstroke, Lobo and Green Lantern. Marvel comics has published hologram trading cards with Daredevil, Venom, War Machine etc. Marvel has also published Spider-Man hologram lunchbox and other collectibles.
Better technics has returned 3 D to film industry, and movies like A Christmas Carol and Coraline has been popular.
