Black Panther is created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Black Panther real name is T'Challa - Prince of Wakanda, and he first appeared in Fantastic Four #52, July 1966. Black Panther is one of the first black superheroes. During the 1970s militant political party the Black Panthers rise, and brief time our superhero name was changed to Black Leopard to avoid connotations to the Black Panthers.
Black Panther got his own comic book Jungle Action in September 1973. Actually series were volume 2, and Black Panther issues were #6-#24. Series ended in November 1976. It was written by Don McGregor, and illustrations were by Rich Buckler, Gil Kane and Billy Graham. The Black Panther #1-#15 runned in 1977-1979.
Later Black Panther got married with Storm from X-Men. Black Panther's enemies has been Klaw, Psycho-Man and Man-Ape. Black Panther has appeared in stories Marvel Civil War, Secret Invasion, Earth X, Dark Reign, Marvel Zombies, Fox Kids, Marvel Mangaverse and Marvel Knights 2099.
