Dark Avengers is the evil reverse for the Avengers. Series was created by the writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato. Dark Avengers started in January 2009.
The members of the Dark Avengers are Iron Patriot/Norman Osborn (first appeared as a Green Goblin in Amazing Spider-Man #14, July 1964), Ms. Marvel (Incredible Hulk #228, Oct. 1978), Hawkeye (Daredevil #131, Mar. 1976), Wolverine/Daken (Wolverine Origins #10, Mar. 2007), Spider-Man/Venom (Marvel Knights: Spider-Man #8 and #10, 2005), Captain Marvel/Noh-Varr (Marvel Boy #1, Aug. 2000), Sentry (The Sentry #1, Sep. 2000) and Ares (Thor #129, June 1966).
Dark Reign by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev starts to where the Secret Invasion ended. Norman Osborn plans to the new world order, and steals Iron Man's armor. He becomes the Iron Patriot, who looks like a crossing of the Iron Man and Captain America (and pretty cool). Daken is forced to take his fathers - Wolverine's - identity, etc. New Avengers tryes to stop them. Other characters in the story are including Doc Samson (Incredible Hulk #141, July, 1971), Red Nine (Amazing Spider-Man #264, May 1985), Annex (Amazing Spider-Man Annual #27, 1993), Geiger (Doc Samson #1, Jan 1996) and the President Barack Obama.
