DearS by mangaka duo Peach-Pit was originally published in Dengeki Comic Gao magazine, and then 8 volumes from March 2002 to December 2005. 13 episodes anime series runned Japan in 2004. It is now available on DVD.
DearS is science fiction comedy-drama, known as shōjo. In the plot space aliens called DearS has landed on Earth. Young student Takeya Ikuhara finds and saves one of the DearS. Beautiful and mysterious alien has lost his memory, and Takeya calls her as a Ren. Ren wonders the life of the earthlings. Day to day she learns more about us, and how to be and act like a human. Daily chores are difficult to learn - like Ren doesn't allways wear clothes - and shy Takeya gets embarrassing situations.
DearS is quite same kind of a story like A.I. Love You by Ken Akamatsu and Chobits by Clamp. But Ren is one of the hottest manga characters of all time. If you don't still have the Ren statue or figurine, you have to have it!
