Doom Patrol: Can Police Officer Become a Toilet Seat?
January 28, 2009
Original Silver Age Doom Patrol is created by Arnold Drake, Bruno Premiani and Murray Boltinoff. Series started in My Greatest Adventure #80, June 1963. The series has finished and started many times, but the most memorable period was when scriptwriter Grant Morrison got a free hands to create Doom Patrol to his own kind. Morrison's work started from the Doom Patrol Vol. 2 #19 in 1989. The artist was Richard Case, and cover artist Simon Bisley.
That time Doom Patrol was perhaps the most bizarre and frightening cartoon in superhero comics history. Cliff Steele (Robotman) and Niles Caulder (The Chief) are the only members from the original Doom Patrol. Crazy Jane has a multiple personality disorder, and each of his 64 different personality has own super powers. Danny the Street is a transvestite street, who lives in a other dimension.
John Byrne's Doom Patrol #1 (Vol 4.) started in August 2004, but lasted only to issue #18. Byrne is also made Doom Patrol covers in 1984 and illustrated Secret Origins Annual #1 in 1986. Doom Patrol Vol 5. started in August 2009. Story is written by Keith Giffen with J.M. DeMatteis, and illustrated by Matthew Clark.

Doom Patrol has took part to Infinite Crisis and One Year Later, and has been part of the The Challengers of the Unknown series, original created by Jack Kirby.
Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol first issue is the most valuable Doom Patrol issue, but also #25 (August 1989) is costly, and not without a reason. It is a spine-chilling story of a little girls imagination friends, who becomes a life...
In Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol they first face The Scissormen, who comes to the city made of bones. Later, they will face Jack the Ripper who believes that he is God, and The Brotherhood of Dada have a painting, which swallowed a Paris. And the police officer becomes a toilet seat full of flowers.
