G.I. Joe a.k.a. Action Force

G.I. Joe is the military action figures made by Hasbro since the year 1964. In the UK toys are known as a title Action Man. In the June 1982 Hasbro started new toyseries G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and Marvel Comics started to publish comic book series at the same time title, created by Larry Hama. In the UK comic book series was titled Action Force.

Transformers: G.I.Joe (2003-2004) by the writer John Ney Rieber and the artist Jae Lee is interesting 6 issue miniseries. The story is located to World War II. Cobra is in alliance with the Nazis, and they have found and waken the Decepticon's. The allies and G.I. Joe have to find Autobot's or they lose the war.

G.I. Joe main enemy is the terrorist organization Cobra, whose leader is Cobra Commander. Other Cobra members are weapons supplier Destro, Doctor Mindbender, the Master of Mind Control, and Baroness, Director of Intelligence, who wears in tight leather suit and is the only lady-villain who has glasses on all the time. Other characters are Emperor Serpentor (first appeared in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #23) and Zartan, The leader of the Dreadnoks.

Mostly 1980s G.I. Joe comics are made fast and for children, but some of G.I. Joe: Special Missions (1986-1989, by Herb Trimpe and Dave Cockrum) stories are really good. Blackthorne published 6 issues G.I Joe 3-D comics in 1987-1989. For reading is needed 3-D classes. Issue #4 first print is rare, because in the cover issue is marked to number two.

G.I. Joe has made animated film and TV series many times. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) by the director Stephen Sommers was the first real live-action film. Movie is starring hot Sienna Miller (Ana DeCobray/Baroness), Marlon Wayans (Ripcord), Rachel Nichols (Scarlett O'Hara), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Heavy Duty), Christopher Eccleston (Destro), Byung-hun Lee (Storm Shadow), Ray Park (Snake Eyes. Does the end of the movie look familiar? Ray Park was Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace), Channing Tatum (Duke), Dennis Quaid (General Hawk), Karolina Kurkova (Courtney A. Kreiger/Cover Girl) and Kevin J. O'Connor (Dr. Mindbender).
