Jae Lee (b. June 22, 1972, South Korea) is an American cartoonist and illustrator. He started his comic artist career very young in Marvel Comics at the 1980's - 1990's. His first works were Marvel Comics Presents #85-92 (published also in title Wolverine: Blood Hungry written by Sam Keith, 1988), Namor the Sub-Mariner #26-38 and Excalibur: XX Crossing May, 1992.
Jae Lee got appreciated Eisner Award in 1999 with Paul Jenkins for Inhumans #1-12 series (published in paperback in 2000). He has also Illustrated The Illustrated Dracula by Bram Stoker in 2006.
In 1994 Jae Lee created his own comic series Hellshock, published by Image Comics. Hellshock is the horror story of Daniel, son of an Archangel and a mortal woman. Daniel is sanctified and damned at the same time, and the Apocalypse is near.
Jae Lee's cover art from the Manhunter-series has been very wanted. At now he is working with seven issue graphic novel Stephen King's The Dark Tower with Robin Furth, Peter David and Richard Isanove. See article Stephen King’s The Dark Tower in Comic and Cartoon Auctions.
