Justice League of America is created by Gardner Fox. Team first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #28 (Feb.-Mar. 1960). The members of the JLA are Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Black Lightning, Green Lantern, Plastic Man, Flash, Firestorm, Hawkgirl, Zatanna, Black Canary, Red Tornado and Vixen.
Justice League of America comic book series was published from 1961 to 1986 (261 issues). Justice League International was published 1987-1989 (19 issues) and Vol. 2 1993-1994 (17 issues). Justice League Europe was published 1989-1993 (50 issues).
JLA comic book series was published 1997-2006 (125 issues), writers were including Grant Morrison, Mark Waid, Denny O'Neil and Kurt Busiek. Justice League of America Vol. 2 started in August 2006 from the issue Justice League of America #0.
52 is the creation of Grant Morrison (re-animator of
Doom Patrol), Greg Rucka (creator of
Whiteout) and Mark Waid (creator of
Irredeemable and
Captain America #600). It is the 52 issue limited series, published from May 2006 to May 2007. The members of the team are including Animal Man, Black Adam, Will Magnus, The Question, Starfire and Adam Strange.
Other related series are Formerly Known as The Justice League (Super Buddies), JLA/Avengers, JLA: Classified, Justice and Justice League. Justice Society Of America first appeared in All Star Comics #3, 1940. Most well-known team members are Amazing-Man, Citizen Steel, Cyclone, Flash, Hawkman, Liberty Belle, Mister America, Power Girl, Sandman, Stargirl and Wildcat.
Justice League of America has adventured in animation series and movies. First live acting movie came in 1997, starring Matthew Settle (Green Lantern), John Kassir (The Atom), Michelle Hurd (Fire), Kenny Johnston (The Flash) and David Ogden Stiers (Martian Manhunter).
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths animation film premiered in 2009. Justice League: Mortal movie has planned to make in 2011. Rumoured stars are D.J. Cotrona (Superman), Armie Hammer (Batman), Megan Gale (Wonder Woman), Teresa Palmer (Talia Al Ghul), Santiago Cabrera (Aquaman), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Martian Manhunter), Adam Brody (The Flash) and the rap-artist Common (Green Lantern).
