THE MOST VALUABLE COMIC BOOKS TOP 10
The most valuable comic book is Action Comics #1 (June 1938). Value in Near Mint condition is 317 200 USD (paid in auction 2009 by John Dolmayan). If you find it in your grandfathers carage, don't read it, the Superman story is boring. Just sell it.
Place 2. goes to... Batman! Detective Comics #27 (May 1939) is worth of little bit over 300,000 USD, NM of course. First appearance of Batman (Bat-Man in those days, when he learned how to spell).
In the 3th place is Marvel Comics #1 (Oct. 1939) to little bit under 300,000 USD. First appearance of the original Human Torch (not that from the Fantastic Four).

Place 4. goes to Superman again. Dude got his own comic book
Superman #1 (1939, some day in the summer, who remembers when) and nowadays it costs over 250,000 USD.
Place 5. goes to All American Comics #16 (July 1940), 150,000 USD, because of the first appearance of Green Lantern.
In the place 6. is Batman #1 (1940) in over 120,000 USD. Batman's first own comic book, and the debut of Catwoman and the Joker.
In the place 7. is Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), and it costs approximate 120,000 USD.
In the 8ht place we have Flash Comics #1 (Jan. 1940). It sounds Hugh Hefner's publication, but it actually is first appearance of The Flash. It is the only Flash Comics issue, #2 never came. Approximate 100,000 USD.
Places 9. and 10. is a tie (I think). You can get Whiz Comics #1 (Feb. 1940) and More Fun Comics #52 (Feb. 1940) only a 85,000 USD each. That's cheap compared to Action Comics #1! Whiz Comics #1 introduces Captain Marvel, and The Spectre appears in More Fun Comics #52.
But that's not all. Amazing Fantasy #15 is very valuable, maybe even more valuable than many others. Who can say - or pay. Spider-Man first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15. The Incredible Hulk #1 is also expensive, so as Wonder Woman #1, X-Men #1 and Journey Into Mystery #83 because of Mighty Thor. Do you have old Golden Age or Silver Age comic books? Like to sell?
