Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars is a 12 issues limited comic book series from May 1984 to April 1985. Story was written by Jim Shooter and artist were Mike Zeck and Bob Layton. Nowadays big gang fights starts where the old ends, but those days in 1980s that kind of big storylines were rare. Secret Wars II by Jim Shooter and Al Milgrom was published in 1985.
Notable is, that in the story Spider-Man got a new "living costume", and it later took the name Venom. Actually first appearance of Venom happened in Secret Wars! Mattel and Hasbro made Secret Wars toylines, Alex Toth has re-painted new posters and varint covers to Secret Wars Omnibus. Secret Wars resin statues, vinyl figures, HeroClix and original 1980s posters and wallpapers are very wanted stuff.
And who is the hottest in Secret Wars, is it Titania, or Volcana, or new Spider-Woman Julia Carpenter, or is it rotten sorceress Enchantress?
