The Stand comic book series is created by author Stephen King, writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and artist Mike Perkins. Story bases to Stephen King's novel The Stand from the year 1978. The comic book series first 5 issue arc is titled The Stand: Captain Trips, and it started in September 2008. Variant covers and sketchbooks has made including by David Finch and Lee Bermejo.
The Stand is epic battle between good and evil. Something goes wrong on a secret army base in the California. Charlie Campion and his family are unaware that they are carrying a deadly virus. The deadly super flu devastated the whole country, but the survivors must try to carry on in the middle of the Apocalypse.
The Stand is filmed in TV series 1994, starring Gary Sinise (Stu Redman) and Stephen King (Teddy Weizak). Series is available on DVD.
