Tales of Suspense

Tales of Suspense comic book runned from January 1959 to March 1968, published by Marvel Comics. Primus motor was, again, Stan Lee, with Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Don Heck. Tales to Astonish was similar title, and runned at the sime time.

Tales of Suspense started at the science fiction magazine, but in the late 1960s Iron Man and Captain America took leadership. Tales to Astonish main characters were Incredible Hulk, Ant-Man (later Giant-Man) and Namor the Sub-Mariner. Tales to Astonish returned in 1979-1981 and 1994. Strange Tales concentrate more horror and magic, and presented Doctor Strange and Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Strange Tales started again in 2009.

Amazing Fantasy began as Amazing Adventures in 1961. Spider-Man first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 1962, and it is one of the most expensive comic books of all time. Amazing Fantasy renewed in 1995.

World of Fantasy by Atlas Comics runned 1956-1959, and Strange Worlds runned only a 5 issues 1958-1959, but Journey into Mystery with Thor were more succesful.
