The Ultimates

The Ultimates superhero team is created by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. Team first appeared in The Ultimates #1 comic book, March 2002. Series appeared 13 issues between March 2002 - April 2004. Ultimates 2 were published in February 2005 - February 2007 (15 issues, plus 2 annuals). The Ultimates 3 started in February 2008, and series published 5 issues.
Ultimates founders were Thor, Iron Man, Yellowjacket, Wasp and Captain America. In Ultimates Shadow Team members were Hawkeye, The Black Widow, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Karma. Other members has been incliding Valkyrie and Rocketmen.
The Ultimates has also published two novels, Tomorrow Men by Michael Jan Friedman and The Ultimates: Against All Enemies by Alexander C. Irvine.
