It is one of thirteen mystical artifacts, other are including, the Angelus, the Darkness, the Ember Stone, the Glacial Stone, the Rapture, the Blood Sword, the Spear of Destiny, and the Wheel of Shadows. Witchblade gives great powers from the ancient women such as Cleopatra and Joan Of Arc. Now the Witchblade owner is NYPD detective Sara Pezzini.
Witchblade is also made manga series by Yasuko Kobayashi, and anime TV series, which runned in 2006 (24 episodes). Witchblade: Takeru manga series started in 2006. Witchblade Lost Generation: Midori no Shōjo is Witchblade novel written by Tokuma Shoten and illustrated by Uno Makoto.
Witchblade TV film made in 2000, starring Yancy Butler as a Sara "Pez" Pezzini, Anthony Cistaro as Kenneth Irons and Eric Etebari as Ian Nottingham. TV series with same actors runned in 2001-2002 (23 episodes). Director Michael Rymer's The Witchblade movie is coming 2010.
