Wizard of Oz classic children's book series is created by author L. Frank Baum. First book was titled The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and it appeared in 1900. Baum wrote 14 books about Oz, and after him Ruth Plumly Thompson wrote 19 books more. John R. Neill illustrated all those books, except the first one, and wrote 3 books by himself. Other writers and artists has been Jack Snow and Frank Kramer, Rachel R. Cosgrove and Dirk Gringhuis, and Eloise Jarvis McGraw, Lauren Lynn and Dick Martin.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz comic book series by Marvel Comics is written by Eric Shanower and illustrated by Skottie Young. Does Dorothy Gale find her way to home Kansas from the magical Land of Oz? Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Toto helps her to win the Wicked Witch! Wizard of Oz is one of the most popular children's fantasy stories with Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan.
