Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm… X-Men!

The X-Men #1 appeared in september 1963. The famous superhero team was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. New kind of famous X-men with Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler and Colossus first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1 1975.

X-Men raised most popular comic series in United States when Chris Claremont wrote it, John Byrne draw and Terry Austin inked. Byrne started with The X-Men #108 (Dec. 1977) and left after the The X-Men #143 (March 1981). Beast, Cyclops, Professor X etc. fights against Magneto, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Proteus and Hellfire Club. Stories like Days of Future Past (X-Men #141 and Uncanny X-Men #142, 1981) and Dark Phoenix Saga (X-Men #129-#138, 1980) was unforgettable. Bryan Singer's X-Men movies basis some of those stories.

2001 X-Men became New X-Men, and sciptwriter Grant Morrison was recruited to write it. Also 100 issues limited series Ultimate X-Men (by Mark Millar and Adam Kubert) started in 2001, and Ultimate X-Men #100 appeared in March 2009. The Astonishing X-Men started in 2004. Before it had come limited series and special issues at the same title. Giant-Sized Astonishing X-Men #1 appeared in May 2008.
